The National Association of Theatre Owners has voted to endorse “Black Swan” for its 2017 Oscar nominees.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which represents film producers, said in a statement the film “tells a compelling story about the resilience of a diverse community and the power of a strong, inclusive society.”
The movie is an important reminder that the promise of a new day is just as powerful as the old, the world will always need strong, positive leadership,” the chamber said.
The film is the latest in a long line of films that have won Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director.
The awards will be presented at the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 7, in Hollywood.
