Two teams of fire safety experts, who will be meeting with the building’s owner in the coming weeks, will decide which building’s safety record to keep.
They will also take into account the cost of keeping the building in a state of good repair.
They’ll be looking at how the building has been kept safe over the past 30 years, and the cost that would be required to replace it, if it were to be closed.
In this week’s episode of Recode Decode, Recode’s Kara Swisher and Kara Swartz join Kara to break down the cost to keep a building in good repair, and to discuss how to evaluate and decide on a building’s best fire safety practices.
